About us
We believe in:
“Jesus is Lord” is the distinctive confession of faith – as individuals and as a Church, we seek to make every aspect of our lives subject to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Bible shows us God's way for living, and we seek to establish our lives on the revelation of God's truth.
As a symbol of Jesus' claim on our lives, we practice Baptism by 'full immersion', in which believers publicly declare their desire to 'die to self' and to be born again to live for and follow Christ.
We believe that every member of the Church has a role to play, whether in preaching and teaching, leading worship, faith-sharing, evangelism, social action, pastoring, guiding, serving, prophetic insight, encouraging, praying, healing, administration or hospitality.
Local Baptist Churches have always been linked together into what we call “Associations”, joining with other Baptist Churches within the area for mutual support and mission. Belonging together in Christ locally is what makes our membership in the world-wide Church real and meaningful.
Religious freedom for all has always been a keystone of the Baptist way. Within Baptist Churches, tolerance for difference of outlook and diversity of practice is encouraged.
